Read both sides of the full story highlighted in an article on the front page of CNN.com this morning. And click here to see some of my previous postings and comments on the subject of wind turbines.
On the CNN site under "From the Blogs" I also noticed a number of other blogs are talking about this story today, so be sure to check those out at well. This is one of the better ones I clicked on over there.
I did a little searching and it seems NPR covered the same story back in April but for whatever reason the national media has only run with it over the last several days. Some others:
Windmills split town and families - MSNBC
Upstate windmill project splits town and families - UticaOD.com
Small towns grapple with wind power's benefits, drawbacks - Star Telegram
Windmills split town and families - UK Guardian
Windmills bring money, but divide community - HeraldNet.com
Project blows a bitter wind between families - Concord Monitor
Don't forget to check back to Dan's Deep Creek Blog for future updates.

Whiny NIMBYs.
Thanks for your comment, but Dawn Sweredoski in the linked article probably said it best, "It's hard when change is for the common good but some people suffer more than others."
