The Cumberland Times-News is reporting that US Wind Power has been approved for a grading and geotechnical investigation permit on Dan's Mountain near Vale Summit. US Wind Power hopes to use the permint to determine locations for 25 wind turbines based on soil samples and suitability for foundations.
