An even higher level ..

Last week's Republican editorial speaks of the great changes that have occurred in this country over the past decades culminating in Barrack Obama seemingly clinching the Democratic nomination for President of the United States of America just last week. While there is no doubt history has been made, I would add that we have not yet truly reached that "higher level" the editor speaks of. A true higher level of maturity and civility will be achieved when we aren't talking about Barrack Obama as a black man or Hillary Clinton as a white woman but both of them as candidates for President based on their ideas, their visions and their abilities alone. Clearly there is still work to do in that regard.

Don't forget to check back to Dan's Deep Creek Blog for future updates.

Every wealthy old white male pundit and politician (you know, 90% of the total) is tripping over themselves to pat themselves on the back because Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee of the Democratic party.

Yet every Sunday morning we will still turn on the teevee or open to the editorial pages to see them dominated by wealthy old white men, save for a few appearances by Sen. Obama or Speaker Pelosi.
