Or the result of a small child randomly tapping a keyboard? Once again I am terribly disappointed in what I am seeing from Garrett County's "professionals". Some highlights from this website (as it appeared Tuesday June 17, 2008):
"Marlynad"
"peopel"
"swiimming"
"afting"
The author of this page, his employer and all of those who provided his education and allowed him to obtain a high school diploma should be thoroughly embarrassed by this website. We all make typos from time to time but to publish something on your "professional" website without proofreading or subseqent editing is inexcusable in my opinion. Imagine how poorly this website reflects upon the educational system of the area when this website is the product of both a "lifelong" resident and a major local employer.
Updated June 18, 2008: The website linked above has been corrected to meet the most basic professional standards. And once again, I have definitive proof that this blog is being read and making a difference. I never intended to be the de facto editor or proofreader of these professional publications but if that's what it takes to save Garrett County from further embarassment I suppose I will be doing my part.
Don't forget to check back to Dan's Deep Creek Blog for future updates.
